I haven't blogged in a long time, or read many blogs. Since recent security measures at work prevent me from checking things like Facebook and blogs, I've become a stranger to them it seems. Or not.
I may have to do my patented read-your-blog-2-months back-and-comment-from-that-point-to-present but that seems like too much. (But then I'll be
behind.)
Quick overview:
- working a bit more
- job seems stable/safe (as it can be)
- suffered an incredibly nasty, painful bout of indigestion. Almost went to the Emergency Room! Extremely painful
- going on a 3-4 week cleanse/detox diet (see above)
- really looking forward to Spring. Come sun, come.
- failed to do Lent. I had all these aspirations...I will do Easter week though
- have been depressed. Processing a lot of nasty thoughts and feelings lately and I think that's why. Will keep plugging away with diet, exercise, prayer, therapy.
- loving the new car. SO nice
- dated a few times with no sparks (but I think I have at least 1 new friend)
More to come soon.
*Peace and love*

good to see you! I love it when you pop back in for a couple of weeks. :)
I'm sorry about the indigestion. Yugh.
Glad to see that you're back!
so matter of fact: i've been depressed.
welcome back! spring is coming, i swear it is!
Go for it, fellow dater!
Did you sell your old car? Is it still alive?
Good to hear how things are going with you - how's the clense/detox going?
1 - you are so right, most restaurant people smoke. What's with that?
2 - about the sony vaio in the middle of the naked natives - there is a massive copper mine that has been set up in the middle of the island, in the middle of the tribes. It's sad to see - the people are now seeing some benefit from the mine, but most of the money goes to Indonesia and the West, and the natives just lose their land and culture... so sad.
3 - yes, Isaac likes English food, but he makes a general sweep and claims Indian/Pakistani food as British too, since they've had it for so long. Actually, the official British national food is chicken tikka masala.... so in a way the culture really is totally infused by South Asian cuisine. He does love roasts, roasted veges, and good hearty bread, though... which I generally consider boring. Oh, and tea. and Cadbury chocolate. :)
dang it, I hit enter before I was done.
4 - out of curiousity, do you know where your therapist got her MA? I love recommendations.
5 - The messianic Jewish church does use the Mishna and Talmud, but I'm not sure if they give it a sort of canonical status, or not. They are intentional to say that they include the NT in the canon. I think it was mostly Hebrew, not Aramaic... but what do I know?
6 - I am still biased against it, but I do not think Dallas is beautiful in the same way Dallas is. It is not big and brawny - it's downtown is decent but tiny... there is not the same level of industry or history or culture, and there are not the same sort of cool little neighborhoods. Instead it is spreading suburbs. There IS beauty in the burbs, it just takes me longer to see and appreciate it. It is definitely not comparable to Chicago, though.
@papua2001mk - 1) I have no idea, and it seems ironic at least for the ones who are in to food and taste itself, as cigarettes tend to dull taste.
2) That is so sad.
3) Yeah I've heard that about tikka masala. (I made some last week!) Ever have balti? another anglo-south asian dish from the UK, is awesome.
4) The University of Minnesota (though she's quite a lot of training since in trauma rehab, EMDR, and the like)
5) I did not know that. I have a feeling they don't accept it as connonical but I didn't know they even used it. But what do we know? lol
6) No, I'm with you. Dallas seems dreary, hot and sprawly, like a massive dog sprawled out on old floor.
