So I am wrapping up ye olde detoxe diet and it's been a good thing.
- I have a lot less heartburn
- I've lost 10 pounds
- My eyes look clearer somehow
- Someone said I looked younger or more energized (I don't know what to make of that but I'll take it!)
- My allergies (to cats) is reduced
So cool! I call it a success.
It was hard, the cravings at first were unbearable. Then I picked up a case of diarrhea that was going around (little kids) but it passed quickly.
Basically it taught me that I tend towards eating like shit: the processed, the overly salty, the congealed, the sugary.
And I like a lot of vegetables! that's the weird thing. Why don't I eat more? I have no idea.
In any case, I feel better and after my gastrointestinal scare in early April this was just what the doctor ordered.

wow, that's so interesting. It helped the allergies? And 10 lbs is impressive!
Nicely done. The weight loss is amazing and noticing one's eating habits is useful. I tend toward the bad diet myself, so it's good to hear a success story!
excellent, glad to hear it went well
Hooray! So pleased for you.
Good job! Now, post-detox, what will your changes be? I haven't made myself cook more veggies, but I've bought prepackaged smaller portions and eat fruit every day now, at least. At my parents' house, I enjoy the veggies, and desserts are fewer, farther between, and much more enjoyable when I indulge.
Keep it up, my friend.
what detox were you doing? i'm so interested! yeah the cravings are AWFUL. I've never finished a cleanse once!Â
It sounds like you are in the right direction, but on the wrong tracks.
I -highly- recommend a movie called "the beautiful truth".
